The KMDK is not responsible for the collection of waste from households or businesses. The company is tasked with managing landfills and treating waste, and not providing collection or transportation services. These services are usually carried out by licensed cleaning companies (public or private), which operate at a local level.

KMDK accepts only predefined waste based on its license: municipal waste, namely household waste and other waste which, due to their nature, are similar or have a similar composition to household waste, b) non-hazardous industrial waste with similar characteristics of municipal waste and similar characteristics of household waste, c) construction and demolition waste (fraction up to ф 30 сm), d) household waste of demolished furniture (household electrical appliances, etc.) e) sewage sludge from sewage treatment, only if the concentration of solid matter and the physico-chemical size of the "eluate" from the washing of these sludges meet the values of non-hazardous waste for landfill and if they are maximally dehydrated and not less than 30% dry matter.

KMDK does not accept: Hazardous waste (chemicals, pesticides, batteries, oils, toxic industrial waste) Hospital/biological waste Liquid waste Material mixed with iron, plastic, wood or other waste not categorized as inert or municipal Vehicles, tires, electronic waste (if not treated according to regulations).

In landfills managed by KMDK: Each load is checked before acceptance for compliance with the criteria. Waste is disposed of in a controlled manner, following European standards for environmental safety. Cover layers, drainage systems and supervision are used to prevent water and air pollution. In some cases, KMDK cooperates with institutions for waste treatment.
